Julie Mattson, a Montana native, discovered her passion for fly fishing at age 10 and has been hooked ever since. With over 25 years of experience—including more than 13 years as a guide in Southeast Alaska—Julie now calls Broken Bow, Oklahoma home, where she guides year-round just minutes from the Lower Mountain Fork River. As a PFF-certified Casting Instructor and an active competitor on the US Women's National Fly Fishing Team—one of the six athletes representing the US on the Women's Fly Fishing World Team—Julie brings unparalleled expertise to every outing. Over the past four years, she has become a sought-after speaker on competitive fly fishing, sharing her inspiring journey as a competitive fly fisher woman. About The River
Beavers Bend State Park is home to the beautiful Lower Mountain Fork River, located in Southeast Oklahoma. It is the regions only year round trout fishery with it's crystal clear waters. This river holds Rainbow and Brown trout both stocked and natural reproduction which gives you the opportunity to hook up!
